Hyosung GW 250
Garware motors is all set to launch the Hyosung GW250 Aquila in the Indian market in May 2012. The Aquila will be powered by the same 250cc V-twin motor that powers the GT250R Comet and will be priced between INR 1.5-2.5 lakh. The GV will be placed against the Ninja 250, CBR250R and KTM Duke 200 but will face the main competition from the Royal Enfield bikes specially the Classic 500 and the Thunderbird 500.

KTM 990 Duke R
Duke is projected to be launched in India in the first quarter of 2013 and it is more likely to be a CBU initially and should get a price tag of around 13lakh rupees. The Super Duke R will give a tough competition to all the liter class bikes in the market.

Triumph Speedmaster
A bike with classic looks and “bad boy” design that makes you want to forget that full face helmets exist. With the pentagram style alloys included, it’s got the nearly “perfect” looks accompanied by a healthy 865cc engine. Peak torque is a generous 72Nm which can be accessed at a low 3300 RPM and max power is a rather low 60 BHP @ 6800 RPM. With a wet weight of 250kgs, this bike is surely not designed to break any speed records, but if its nostalgia that you want, this is the bike to get.

Husqvarna Nuda
Husqvarna is not a known brand in India but amongst the off-road bikes enthusiasts it is! Husqvarna has always been associated with off-road machines and Nuda is their first naked bike. After being bought by BMW in 2007 Nuda is the first road bike which came out of the Husqvarna factory in Varese. Nuda possess a reworked F800GS motor whose capacity is increased to 898cc and produces 105bhp and 100Nm of torque. It has a new cylinder head, camshafts, larger valves, forged pistons and conrods and a triple layer head gasket. It also has a new crankshaft with a new offset, which Husqvarna says gives a throatier engine note, a snappier response and fewer vibes. The Nuda is fast, punchy and smooth and the motor is more than enough for this type of bike.

Bajaj Sonic
Bajaj has come a long way from making scooters to the segment beater Pulsar. Pulsar has already become a legend and other bikes from Bajaj are also breaking the sales records. Another bike with which they plan to re-conquer the 100cc commuter segment is the ‘Sonic’.

Sonic is a 100cc DTS-Si powered bike which will produce close to 9bhp and will come with the latest version of DTS-Si which is already there in the Discover, XCD and other bikes of Bajaj as well. DTS-Si has already proven its might in the market with its segment best power and fuel economy figures. Expect the newer version to be even better and return an economy of closer to 100kmpl. Sonic will also have the Exhaust-tec which helps in the optimum burning of fuel by sending the unburnt gases back to the engine just like an expansion chamber.

Honda CBR 500
Come next year, Honda will bring two of their very popular 500 cc bikes to India. The CBR 500R is a
bike meant for the sporty rider who spends his weekend doing quarter mile runs on a deserted road
with fellow bikers. From the outside, the 2013 Honda CBR 500R looks like one heck of a machine, but
the under the body is a tamed beast with a rather conventional suspension setup.

Honda CB 500F
Powered by the same engine as the CBR 500R, the 2013 Honda CB 500F will be the bike that will share its underpinnings with its racing cousin. The CB 500F like any other CB bike will get a completely different steering geometry. The riding position has been tweaked for a more comfortable city riding. This has been achieved by raising the handle-bars.

Hyosung GV650 Pro
Garware motors is all set to launch the Hyosung GW650 Pro in the Indian market in May 2012. The GW650 Pro will be powered by the same 650cc V-twin motor that powers the GT650R and will be priced between INR 5-5.5 lakh. The GW will be placed against the Suzuki Intruder 800 and Hyosung ST7.

Triumph Thruxton
Triumph Thruxton, a Bonneville based café racer is on a league of its own and with Triumph entering India it’s also coming to the Indian shores. Expected between the first and second quarter of 2013 Thruxton will be launched at a price of around 7lakh rupees.
